A few months back, local Sydney hair extension business Egyptian Queen was preparing to launch their new lash range "Lash Royalty". I had heard of the news and emailed them for some samples.
And typical of a good business women, Jackie (Specialist and Wholesaler) sent me two gorgeous 100% cruelty free genuine Mink Eyelashes in lightening speed!
Mink Eyelashes (100% cruelty free) - what Egyptian Queen says:
Mink eyelashes are hairs brushed from Minks, they are hypo-allergenic as no dyes are used.
Mink eyelashes hold their shape and can be worn up to 20-25 times!
How are mink eyelashes different to synthetic, human hair and silk etc etc...you say? Instead of me writing about information that's already widely available, you can read about the difference between Acrylic vs. Silk vs. Mink vs. Human Hair here.
Basically, mink eyelashes are one of the most natural lashes out there, a natural fibre that can last longer than silk and synthetics. They are also very light weight and comfortable to wear.

I was sent the 1. "Power Trip" & 2. "Ego Maniac".
Each lash came in their own deluxe box with the Egyptian Queen logos. The boxes are made with a magnetic lid which makes re-storing lashes easy and hassle-free.
My Impression:
I really like both styles! They were perfectly shaped and were very soft to touch. Both lashes also had great volume and fluffiness which makes it so natural looking when put on!

The lashes had great flexibility and was easy to apply. It stuck to my own lashes well and seemed very natural. Once on, I could hardly feel the lashes. It was very comfortable and did not irritate my eyes at all.
Taking the lashes off was easy too. After cleaning the lashes I stored them back in it's original box and was able to reuse it for next time.
I am definitely looking forward to ordering some more lashes and even paying a visit to the Egyptian Queen salon to look at their hair extension range.
Overall rating: 10/10
Pros - quality mink lashes that are soft, fluffy and cruelty-free. Blended well with my own lashes, added a lot of volume and looked very natural.
Cons - some mink hair did fall out after I cleaned it. However the original shape of the lashes were still maintained. And once I became more careful when handling the lashes, I did not notice more fall out.
*note: try not to use mascara or water on it. Clean it with a little bit of make up remover if necessary.*
